Moran's Beef Rib Roast
Total recipe time is 2-3/4 to 3-1/2 hours
1 beef Rib Roast Bone-In (2 to 4 ribs) small end, back bone removed (6 - 8 pounds)
1 can (14 - 14.5oz) ready to serve beef broth
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
Rub:
6 tablespoons of Moran's Grilling Seasoning (3/4 of a jar)
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine rub ingredients in a small bowl; reserve 2 tablesppins for the au jus. Press remaning rub evenly onto all surfaces of the beef roast.
Place roast, fat side up,in a shallow roasting pan. Insert ovenproof meat thermometer so the tip is centered in the thickest part of the beef, not resting in fat or touching bone. Do not add water to cover. Roast in 350 degree F oven 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 hours for mediaum rare, 2-1/2 to 3 hours for medium doneness.
Remove roast when meat thermometer registers 135 degrees F for medium rare, 145 degrees F for medium. Transfer roast to carving board; tent loosely with aluminum foil. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes. (temperature will continue to rise about 10 - 15 degrees F to reach 145 degrees F for medium rare and 160 degrees F for medium.
Combine broth and reserved rub in a small saucepan; brind to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Stir in thyme; continue simmering 2 minutes.
Carve Roast into slices. Season with salt as desired. Serve with au jus.
Makes 8 - 10 servings
Moran's Roast Turkey
1 12 - 15 lb whole turkey - thawed if frozen
6 tablespoons of canola oil
8 tablesoons of Moran's Grilling Seasoning (1jar)
Remove neck and giblets from the body and neck cavities of the turkey. Turn wings backto hold the neck skin in place. Return the legs to the tucked postion, if untucked. Place the turkey, breast side up, on a flat rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Brush the outside of the turkey with 3 tablespoons of oil; rub the outside and inside cavity with Moran's Grilling Seasoning. Cover and refigerate 12 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Brush seasoned turkey with the remining 3 tablespoons of oil. Bake approximately 3 hours* or until the meat themometer reaches 180 degrees F when inserted in the thickets part of thigh or 165 degrees in the breast.
Begin to check the turkey for doneness about 30 minutes before the suggested cooking time.
If cooking an unstuffed turkey, when the turkey is approximately 2/3 done, loosely cover the breast and top of drumsticks with foil to prevent overcooking.
If cooking a stuffed turkey, cover the neck and stuffing with foil at the beginning of the cooking process to avoid over-browning. When the turkey is 3/4 done, cover the breast and top of drumsticks with a piece of foil to prevent over cooking.
Take out of the oven and let stand 15 minutes before carving.

Unstuffed Stuffed
7 - 9 pounds 2.5 - 3 hrs 2.75 - 3.5 hrs
9-18 pounds 3 - 3.5 hrs 3.75 - 4.5 hrs
18 - 22 pounds 3.5 - 4 hrs 4.5 - 5 hrs
Moran's Grilled Mixed Vegtables
Pre-heat the gas grill to 350 degrees. Clean and slice a variety of vegetables.
Your choice
Brush with olive oil, sprinkle wth Moran's Grilling Seasoning and place on a specially designed vegetable grill plate.
Cook about 5 minutes - move the vegtables around so they will not burn. Cook another 5 minutes and serve.
Excellent served with Beef, Poultry or Pork
Serves 4 - 6 people.
Moran's Grilled Asparagus
Pre-heat the gas grill to 350 degrees. Clean 1 pound of fresh asparagus and then brush with olive oil. Sprinkle Moran's Grilling Seasoning over the asparagus and then place on a specially designed vegetable grill plate. Cook about 5 minutes - move the vegetables around so they will not burn. Cook another 5 minutes and serve.
Serve with lemon wedges
